Try Out These Spring Cleaning Tips

Freshen up your home this spring.

Spring has sprung and that means it's time to give your home a thorough cleaning.   Ready to wipe away all the dust and grime that has accumulated throughout the dreary winter months?   Try out these easy tips that will make your spring cleaning a breeze. 1) To make an effective and all-natural cleaner for your refrigerator, combine salt and soda water.   The bubbling action of the soda water will help lift strains and grime while the texture of the salt helps your scrub everything away. 2) If you want to clear away stubborn lime build-up around your sink faucet, lay vinegar-saturated paper towels over the fixture and let it sit for an hour.   The acidity of the vinegar will break down the lime and make it far easier to remove. 3) If your drapes are looking dingy, take them down from your window and remove all the hooks.   Then, run them through the air-fluff cycle in your dryer along with a wet towel.   The damp towel will draw out the dust and leave your drapes looking much fresher. 4) Clean dusty ceiling fan blades with an old, fuzzy sock.   Simply slip the sock over your hand and run it over the blade.   The sock will pick up and trap the dust.   When you have removed all the dust, apply a coat of furniture polish to keep your fan blades dust free. 5) While your comforters, blankets, and pillows don't necessarily need to be cleaned, they might need to be aired out after being closed up in your home for so long.   Shake them out and  hang them outside to remove dust and get rid of any mustiness.
